A symposium focused on SPIROMICS findings will be held on Monday, May 20 from 12pm - 1pm PST.
The topics are:
- How Do Different Categories of "Pre-COPD" Fit Together? - presented by Dr. Prescott Woodruff
- Investigating the Origins of Early COPD in the SOURCE Study - presented by Dr. Meilan K. Han
- Sex-Based Differences in the RV (Right Ventricle) in COPD in SPIROMICS HF - presented by Dr. Monica Mukherjee
- Implications of COVID-19 for COPD (C4R study in SPIROMICS) - presented by Dr. Victor E. Ortega
These SPIROMICS-related sessions will be presented as part of these mini symposiums:
"Indoor Air Pollution, Dysanapsis, and Lung Function Decline: Analyses From the SPIROMICS AIR Study," to be presented by Dr. Sarath Raju on Wednesday, May 22, 8:15am - 10:15am PST. Part of the mini symposium, "Machine Learning and Large Cohort Studies to Understand Exposure-related Lung Disease."
These two presentations are part of the mini symposium on "Determinants of Disease Progression and Decline in COPD," on Wednesday, May 22, 8:15 AM - 10:15 AM PST:
- "Effect of Smoking Cessation on COPD Exacerbations, Spirometry and Respiratory Symptoms in SPIROMICS," to be presented by Dr. Laura Glassman.
- "Clinical Characteristics and Longitudinal Outcomes in Heterogeneous Emphysema in SPIROMICS," to be presented by Dr. Andrew Hong.
